The Huble Homestead is a historic site located on Lheidli T’enneh keyoh; the house and buildings are situated in the Giscome Portage Regional Park, and the site is just 40 kilometres north of Prince George, British Columbia. This attraction offers visitors a glimpse of settler life in northern British Columbia through guided tours and displays.

Operated by the Huble Homestead/ Giscome Portage Heritage Society, this living history museum, situated alongside the Fraser River, is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM to visitors from Victoria Day to Labour Day.

Admission to the historic site is by donation, with a recommended amount of $10.00 for a family, $5.00 for adults, and $3.00 for children and seniors. Visitors can bring a picnic or purchase lunch and visit with the animals of the homestead. Seebach & Huble General Merchandise, a reproduction of the original store, is stocked with candy, food and drinks, as well as a selection of hand made products from local artists and crafters.

Fun Facts

  • Albert Huble was the postmaster at Giscome Portage for two months, from November 1, 1915 to December 31, 1915.
