This was one of a series of signs unveiled in B.C. in 2018 by the Japanese Canadian Legacy Committee in partnership with the Ministry of Transportation. This particular sign, in a pullout overlooking the Village of Slocan, commemorates the former internment camps of Lemon Creek, Bay Farm, Popoff, and Slocan Extension.
