Recognized as a National Historic Site of Canada, Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal is a place of culture, nature and spirituality that welcomes some two million visitors and pilgrims from around the world every year.
This Catholic sanctuary founded by Saint Brother André also houses a museum, whose collection contains more than 30,000 works of religious, historical and artistic heritage from Quebec and elsewhere.
Organ and carillon concerts are offered free of charge and revive the works of renowned composers. The site also houses a beautiful garden with many varieties of trees, shrubs and flowers, and a monumental collection of Indiana stone statues.
