Founded in 1967, the Grand Manan Museum is a community museum that collects, preserves, and displays items representing the human and natural history of the Village of Grand Manan, and the Islands of the Grand Manan Archipelago. It promotes education and appreciation of the community heritage, culture, and physical environment through public programming and exhibits. On display are more than 25 permanent indoor and outdoor exhibits, including a one-room school house exhibit – The Deep Cove School (1889-1947), with new exhibits annually.
