Ruthven Park is the only national historic site in Haldimand County that is open to the public. Its rich cultural and natural heritage provides a rich immersion in Haldimand Counties past but also portrays unique and memorable stories held by the Thompson family who for five generations built and often resided at the site. We have so much to tell you so please visit us on July 6, 2019. Tours of the 1840’s Greek Revival mansion at 10 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2 pm and 3:30 pm. Enjoy a walk around the grounds, hike the trails, visit the Thompson family cemetery and remains of the former ghost town of Indiana. Bring a picnic and enjoy a scenic view of the Canadian Heritage Grand River.
