Join us for an evening of mystery and magic at The Magic Realm 19th Century Masquerade Ball!
This is the perfect time of year for the folk of the « magic realm » to emerge, dance and make merry. Have a ball with your fellow fairies and elves, wizards & witches and other folk in a night of revels featuring 19th century social dances and music.
Dress as a ghost from the past in any period costume before 1900. Or come dressed as a wielder of magic or a denizen of the faerie world. But don’t forget to wear your mask to protect your secret identity until the official unmasking at the end of the second dance.
All levels of dancers are welcome. Dances will be taught at the workshops and led at the ball by Dance Mistress (and Terpsichorean Oracle), Madame Cathy Stephens.
Tickets for the whole weekend are $25 per person and include 2 dance workshops, and the evening ball.

Meet your fellow revellers and practice the steps and figures of the quadrilles and other easy to learn set dances on this year’s ball program. At the same time participants will learn some of the “mysterious social arts” including how to bow (men) and courtesy (women), how to ask a lady to dance and how to fill out ball cards.

We’ll use our “time turners” and learn some steps and variations of the enchanting Victorian waltz.
